Cancellation – postponement of a tasting
Any paid booking for a tasting on a fixed date is final: it does not give rise to any refund, except in the case of unavailability of Paroles de Fromagers set out below.
Postponement at the customer’s request
The customer may request a single postponement of their participation to another date, subject to availability, provided that the request is sent by email to contact@musee-fromage-paris.com no later than 7 days before the tasting, stating their name, the date and theme of the tasting booked, and the new date requested.
After this 7-day deadline, or in the event of absence on the day of the tasting, the full price of the booking remains due, with no postponement or refund.
Only one postponement is possible per booking. If the customer does not attend on the new date, the booking is considered used, with no further postponement or refund.

In accordance with Article L.3342-1 of the French Public Health Code, the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages to and by minors is prohibited. Paroles de Fromagers reserves the right to refuse alcohol tasting to any person whose legal age is not clearly established.
This declaration is the participant’s responsibility: in the event of a false declaration of age, Paroles de Fromagers cannot be held civilly liable. Staff nevertheless remain bound to exercise reasonable vigilance if there is any doubt about a participant’s age.
Delivery — not applicable
Paroles de Fromagers does not sell any products by mail order: the cheeses and products in the shop are sold exclusively on site, during the visit or the service. No shipping, by post or by carrier, is offered.
General provisions
Any order for a product or service appearing in the Paroles de Fromagers catalogue on the website www.parolesdefromagers.com requires prior consultation of these general terms and conditions of sale. Validation of the online order (“I accept the terms and conditions of sale” box or equivalent booking validation action) constitutes full and complete acceptance of these terms and conditions, with the same evidential value as a handwritten signature, in accordance with Article 1367 of the French Civil Code on electronic signatures.
The consumer may save or print these general terms and conditions; doing so is their sole responsibility.
Prior to ordering, the consumer declares that the purchase of the products or services is not directly related to their professional activity and is for personal use only. As a consumer, the customer therefore has specific rights, which would be called into question if the products or services purchased were in fact related to their professional activity.
The online Paroles de Fromagers catalogue includes the following information:
- Legal notice
- Description of the essential characteristics of the goods and services offered
- Price, in euros, of the services and products offered
- Terms of payment and performance of the services
- Period of validity of the offer or price
- This information is presented in French and in English; in the event of any discrepancy, the French version prevails. The consumer declares that they have full legal capacity to enter into a commitment under these general terms and conditions.
Article 1
These general terms and conditions set out all of the parties’ obligations. The consumer is deemed to accept without reservation all of the provisions of these general terms and conditions. No general or specific condition appearing in documents sent or provided by the consumer may be incorporated into these terms where such documents are incompatible with these general terms and conditions.
Article 2: Purpose
The purpose of these general terms and conditions is to define the rights and obligations of the parties in connection with the booking of services (tastings, workshops, visits, classes, gift vouchers) offered by Paroles de Fromagers to the consumer. Paroles de Fromagers does not sell any food products by mail order; any products available for purchase are sold exclusively in the shop, on site.
Article 3: Contractual documents
This contract consists of the following contractual documents, listed in decreasing order of precedence: these general terms and conditions; the order form or booking confirmation. In the event of any conflict between the provisions of documents of different rank, the provisions of the higher-ranking document shall prevail.
Article 4: Entry into force – term
These general terms and conditions come into force on the date the order is validated. They are entered into for the period required to supply the goods and services ordered, until the expiry of the guarantees owed by Paroles de Fromagers.
Article 5: Electronic acceptance
Validation of the online order, after reading and accepting these general terms and conditions, is equivalent to a handwritten signature within the meaning of Article 1367 of the French Civil Code.
Article 6: Order confirmation
The contractual information is confirmed by email no later than the time the service is performed. In accordance with Article L.221-5 of the French Consumer Code, this confirmation includes the full contact details of the business, the dispute resolution procedure and the contact details of the consumer mediator, as well as, where applicable, the information that the right of withdrawal does not apply to the service ordered (see Article 20).
Article 7: Proof of transaction
The computerised records kept in the computer systems of Paroles de Fromagers under reasonable security conditions are deemed to be proof of the communications, orders and payments made between the parties. Orders and invoices are archived on a reliable and durable medium that may be produced as evidence.
Article 8: Product information
8-a: Paroles de Fromagers presents on its website the products and services for sale with the characteristics required to comply with Article L.111-1 of the French Consumer Code.
8-b: The offers presented by Paroles de Fromagers are only valid while stocks last.
Article 9: Prices
Prices are stated in euros and are only valid on the date the consumer sends the order. Prices include the VAT applicable on the day of the order; any change in the VAT rate will automatically be reflected in the price displayed. The full price must be paid when the order is placed. Under no circumstances may the sums paid be considered as deposits or down payments.
Article 10: Payment method
To pay for their order, the consumer may choose any of the payment methods offered at the time of booking. The consumer guarantees to Paroles de Fromagers that they hold the authorisations required to use the chosen payment method. Paroles de Fromagers reserves the right to suspend or cancel any booking if payment authorisation is refused by the accredited bodies or in the event of non-payment, as well as the right to refuse a service to a consumer who has not paid in full for a previous order or with whom a payment dispute is ongoing.
In the event of a well-founded suspicion of fraud involving a means of payment, Paroles de Fromagers may ask the customer for additional verification information, proportionate and limited to what is strictly necessary; the booking is then only validated after this verification.
Pursuant to French law no. 2012-387, the fixed compensation for recovery costs is 40 euros.
Article 11: Force majeure
Neither party shall be deemed to have failed to meet its contractual obligations insofar as their performance is delayed, hindered or prevented by a fortuitous event or force majeure. This shall mean any irresistible event or circumstance, external to the parties, unforeseeable, unavoidable, beyond their control and which cannot be prevented despite all reasonably possible efforts. The affected party shall notify the other within ten working days of the date on which it became aware of it. The two parties shall then meet, within one month unless this is impossible due to the force majeure event, to examine the impact of the event and agree on the conditions for continuing the contract. If the force majeure event lasts longer than three months, these general terms and conditions may be terminated by the injured party. Force majeure events include, in particular: the blocking of means of transport or supply, earthquakes, fires, storms, floods, lightning, the shutdown of telecommunications networks or difficulties specific to such networks external to customers.
Article 12: Partial invalidity
If one or more provisions of these general terms and conditions are held to be invalid pursuant to a law, a regulation or a final decision of a competent court, the other provisions shall retain their full force and effect.
Article 13: No waiver
The fact that one of the parties does not invoke a breach by the other party of any of the obligations referred to in these general terms and conditions shall not be interpreted as a waiver of the obligation in question in the future.
Article 14: Headings
In the event of any difficulty in interpreting any of the headings at the top of the clauses and any of the clauses themselves, the headings shall be disregarded.
Article 15: Governing law
These general terms and conditions are governed by French law, as regards both substance and form. In the event of a dispute or complaint, the consumer shall first contact Paroles de Fromagers to seek an amicable solution (see Article 19).
Article 16: Data protection
The information requested from the consumer is necessary to process their order and may be passed on to the contractual partners of Paroles de Fromagers involved in fulfilling the order. The consumer may write to Paroles de Fromagers to object to such disclosure, or to exercise their rights of access and rectification, under the conditions laid down by the amended French Data Protection Act of 6 January 1978 and the GDPR.
